Ooty travel: Created for nature-lovers like you

First time, I saw Ooty in Bollywood blockbuster ‘Roja’ and then in ‘Ishq’. I loved the beautiful landscapes, hills and plantations shown in background, but didn’t get chance to appreciate this enchanting beauty out of the screen until last September. This time around, I, along with two of my friends, took flights to Chennai and then moved Ooty by road and enjoyed the serenity and solace Ooty has to offer.
Fondly called as the ‘Queen of hill stations’, Ooty is situated at an altitude of 2,240m deep within Nilgiri hills in Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. Lovely coffee and tea plantations, lush tropical forests, beautiful blue hills and flower-laden valleys welcome you in this most attractive territory in India, which had hardly been a part of any kingdom or empire.
For tourists, Ooty has a lot of things to do and see. The 9th Mile is a popular tourist center (shooting place) and a not-to-miss place in the region. Trekking to the lofty peaks here give you an enchanting panorama to savor. Eye-catching greenery and refreshing mountainous breeze here is a soothing treat for eyes and senses. The Botanical Garden remains the part of any itinerary for an Ooty package. Pleasing greenery and interesting flora & fauna is sure to leave you stunned in this 22-acre garden. Ooty Lake boasts soothing serenity and solace, and is a must-visit place for family vacationers and honeymoon couples. Dodabetta Peak, at an elevation of 2,623 meters is the highest point in Nilgiri beauty of that is beyod any description.
Ooty hotels and manali hotels ensure great time, offering all amenities you may wish for. Most of first rated Ooty hotels are centrally located and offer the guests panoramic views of surrounding landscapes. I was impressed the way they treat their guests. After Kodaikanal hotels, they are Ooty hotels where I feel a stay in lap of nature and luxury.
