Ooty travel: Created for nature-lovers like you

First time, I saw Ooty in Bollywood blockbuster ‘Roja’ and then in ‘Ishq’. I loved the beautiful landscapes, hills and plantations shown in background, but didn’t get chance to appreciate this enchanting beauty out of the screen until last September. This time around, I, along with two of my friends, took flights to Chennai and then moved Ooty by road and enjoyed the serenity and solace Ooty has to offer.
Fondly called as the ‘Queen of hill stations’, Ooty is situated at an altitude of 2,240m deep within Nilgiri hills in Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. Lovely coffee and tea plantations, lush tropical forests, beautiful blue hills and flower-laden valleys welcome you in this most attractive territory in India, which had hardly been a part of any kingdom or empire.
For tourists, Ooty has a lot of things to do and see. The 9th Mile is a popular tourist center (shooting place) and a not-to-miss place in the region. Trekking to the lofty peaks here give you an enchanting panorama to savor. Eye-catching greenery and refreshing mountainous breeze here is a soothing treat for eyes and senses. The Botanical Garden remains the part of any itinerary for an Ooty package. Pleasing greenery and interesting flora & fauna is sure to leave you stunned in this 22-acre garden. Ooty Lake boasts soothing serenity and solace, and is a must-visit place for family vacationers and honeymoon couples. Dodabetta Peak, at an elevation of 2,623 meters is the highest point in Nilgiri beauty of that is beyod any description.
Ooty hotels and manali hotels ensure great time, offering all amenities you may wish for. Most of first rated Ooty hotels are centrally located and offer the guests panoramic views of surrounding landscapes. I was impressed the way they treat their guests. After Kodaikanal hotels, they are Ooty hotels where I feel a stay in lap of nature and luxury.

Travelling Overseas? 5 tips that Travel Guide Wouldn’t Tell

I’ve been to many tourist places overseas, during the course of being an avid traveler in recent years. Along with mesmeric vacation experiences, I learnt a lot of things, valuable for every traveler. Some useful suggestions that I would love to share with you are:
·         Money Exchange first: you can do this even before leaving you country. However, if you couldn’t, make sure to do this first after reaching to the destination. You’ll need the local currency in many small transactions like paying to the taxi, shops and tips in restaurants.
·         If possible, take two: you would better carrying one extra of important items like phone battery, camera, sun-glasses and memory card etc. Dearth of such items can put a damper on a vacation.
·         Get photo copies of your passport and tour itinerary, and put in each of your suitcases or bags. In case you lose your luggage, it would be easy for one (returner) to find you.
·         Don’t be overdrive in term of risk taking: know your capacity and boundaries, and behave under them.  Don’t take chance, and avoid doing illegal tasks. Don’t wander around restricted areas, especially during night-time.
·         You better learn some important words in local language before going there. Some sentences like ‘How to ask for food’, how to ask for a place and the counting words should be learnt in advance.
·         Never leave your travel documents and luggage unattended, even don’t ask someone stranger to look after them.
Although these tips are highly valuable for those planning overseas journey, the one of domestic trips like manali tour package and manali honeymoon package. Packages for most of tourist destinations and hotels there are available online. Kashmir tour packages offer a tour to Kashmir without any hassle.
