Jaipur, Munnar and Coimbatore: 3 pleasant corners for backpackers

Jaipur is the capital of the state of Rajasthan and is considered amongst the finest holiday destinations in India. Rich in history and warm in tradition, the city scores with its palaces, monuments, lakes and forts. It also houses some interesting temples and is notably pink in color because of the characteristic reddish hue of most of its edifices. The Hawa Mahal is a must-visit attraction. It literally translates into the ‘palace of wind’ and is called so because of its airy windows. Jantar Mantar is an observatory which is another famous attraction.

There are lavish Jaipur hotels in the city which can add another layer of excitement to your tour.
If you ever hop over to Kerala, you will come face to face with one of the most beautiful hill stations in the world. Munnar is something of a paradise with its widely spread spice plantations and sun-kissed tea/coffee estates. It is also a very romantic place which is one of the major choices by honeymooners.

There are also myriad numbers of sightseeing places including a very famous Tea Museum. You can always saunter over to the hilly slopes and dig into outdoor activities like trekking. Munnar hotels too never fail to impress!
In case, you are looking to spend a couple of days in a small quiet town, then Coimbatore is the perfect choice! It is miniscule-sized town but is famed for its temples, waterfalls and friendly Coimbatore hotels. Siva Temple is the most famous temple of the city. Amongst waterfalls, the notable ones are Monkey Fals, Siruvani Falls and Kovai Kutralam Falls.
