Tourism in India: Satisfactory growth rate and great potentials

For last one decade or so, tourism in India has been growing at rocket pace. And the foremost reason behind this is the new tourism policies adopted by Indian government and a well-supporting role played by private players (tour operators). Gone are the days when foreigner came to India to see Taj Mahal and some other famous historical structures. But now a cycle of tourism has been established in such a way that one single trip is not enough to know India, even if one chooses to see one single part of the country.
Beside the normal tourism practice, government is developing various aspects which provide the travellers complete satisfaction. Now a variety of tourism aspects are taking shapes in India. Among the most popular ones are rural tourism, tribal tourism, food & culture tourism, shopping and other attractive types of tourism. Additionally, adventure and sport tourism is become a favourite haunt among active travellers. Various destinations like Manali, Ladakh, Gangtok, Goa and Andaman are attracting adrenaline junkies from far and wide. Religious tourism is also a major draw for foreigner travellers. Hordes of travellers visit India every year in search of spirituality, serenity and inner peace. And it’s therefore business of Haridwar hotels, Katra hotels etc is growing by leaps and bounds.
Tour operators, both governmental and the privately owned, are also the backbone of growing India tourism. They offer all travel related services in various price categories, and hence ensure travellers a hassle-free travel experience. Whether one plans a Manali tour or Ladakh tourism expedition, all required facilities can be booked online. Along with separate services like Mumbai hotels and Mumbai flights, complete holiday packages are also offered by the travel companies. They have made travelling easier than ever before. In addition to that, well enhanced infrastructure, increased services by Indian railways and airlines and smooth connectivity are some other aspects promoting tourism in India.
Considering these factors, there is a great potential for increasing tourist influx in India. The rate is going up and there is high potential for it to increase tremendously.
