Rajasthan, the land of royals, can be well
described as a treasure trove for arts and crafts. Interesting arts &
architecture, rich culture heritages and vibrant festivity in the state is a
major draw for hordes of tourists visiting here annually. During my last trip
to Jaipur, i was bedazzled by the paintings, artifacts, furniture and wall
hangings in the market of the city. Exquisitely designed and made of pure
Rajasthan craftsmanship, these handcraft items are sure to add perfect elegance
to any interior.
When I visited the royal palaces of the
city, I saw a variety of gemstone paintings and enchanting artifacts pertaining
to royal Rajasthani era. Alongside this, one can see historical treasures in
from of weapons, thrones and other valuable items used by royal kings. The
lively markets in Jaipur are laden of various colourful handicrafts items and a
variety of famous Rajasthani embroidered fabrics.
For those interested in history, there is
no other place to visit than the pink city. Each corner of the city has a story
behind it, and serves to be an important place in fabrication of city’s
history. The Amber Fort is the most popular historical attraction in Jaipur.
Other than that, the City Palace, Hawa Mahal and Janter-Manter are some iconic
structures in the city. Apart from that, heritage Jaipur hotels
are also place where tourist can have the real taste of Rajasthan royalty.
Exquisitely designed and well-preserved, the heritage properties offer a
lifestyle that royal kings of the state had lived.
Some other places in North India that
history-lovers find interesting are Delhi, Agra and Shimla. And like Jaipur
hotels, Shimla
hotels also offer an age-old grace with contemporary amenities.
